DC/DC Converters
DC/DC Converters are a family of high efficiency products that power mobile and desktop PCs. Products offered are:
- Mobile CPU core power controller chipset (OZ820/OZ821)
- Server CPU core power controller (OZ830)
The OZ820/821 chipset is specially designed for next generation portable computing microprocessors. It's an IMVP (Intel® Mobile Voltage Positioning) compliant solution that provides processor core and peripheral voltages using one controller IC. The architecture allows flexible PCB layout possibilities, while isolating high power driver circuitry away from complex temperature-sensitive controller and reference circuitry.
OZ830 is designed for high-speed DC/DC power conversion, useful for powering high wattage desktop and server microprocessors. This architecture provides high currents, while utilizing a lower number of power delivery phases (less external components) than other modern multi-phase, high current power solutions. The OZ830 can provide well over 60A, while requiring only 2-phases for power delivery.
