Cell Balancing System Patent Issued to O2Micro

March 29, 2012. O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ: OIIM) was issued 25 claims under United States patent number 8,030,895 for its Cell Balancing System.

This invention balances a group of battery cells, coupled in series, using multiple controllers. Using this patented system, each cell group can be balanced simultaneously without additional hardware.
