Intelligent Inverter® Patent Granted to O2Micro

June 8, 2009. O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ®: OIIM; SEHK: 0457), a leading supplier of innovative power management and security components, was issued 28 claims under United States patent number 7,515,445 for its High-efficiency Adaptive DC/AC Converter; a continuation of the invention issued May 2002 under patent number 6,396,722, issued at the same time as the original in Taiwan (under #152,318).

This adaptive, self-learning inverter controller provides a high efficiency power conversion using a zero-voltage switching technique that minimizes power loss.
