April 11, 2006. O2Micro® International Limited (Nasdaq: OIIM; SEHK: 0457), a leading supplier of innovative power
management and security components and systems for the Computer, Consumer, Industrial, and Communications markets, was issued 21 claims under United States patent number 7,002,817 for its Direct Current-to-Direct Current (DC/DC) Controller with improved transient response; a continuation of
the invention issued November 2004 under United States patent number 6,813,173.
The resulting benefits of this patented architecture include fewer parts, PCB space savings, and higher reliability for notebook and server applications.
