O2Micro Announces New IC Test Center in China
October 21, 2005. O2Micro® International Limited (Nasdaq: OIIM), a leading supplier of innovative power management and
security components and systems for the Computer, Consumer, Industrial, and Communications markets, today announced its plans to establish an integrated circuit (IC) test facility to perform final electrical and wafer level electrical testing for its analog and mixed signal products.
The new test center will be located in the Peoples Republic of China (PRC), close to customers and companies that are suppliers to O2Micro.
The company will begin construction of its IC test center in the near future and expects to be shipping products tested in the facility during calendar year 2006.
"It is expected that unit volumes of customer requirements will grow in the future, particularly in China. The addition of this test center will provide the capacity and flexibility needed for O2Micro to meet customer demand for high volumes of IC products
in the future," said a company spokesperson.
