O2Micro's Driving Circuit Topology Issued Japanese Patent
March 3, 2014. O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ Global Select Market: OIIM), a global leader in the design, development and marketing of high-performance integrated circuits and solutions, was granted a patent by the Japanese Patent Office (JPO) for its Driving Circuit topology.
This patented Driving Circuit, used to power light sources, supplies all LED strings with enough power to generate desired light outputs with a relatively uniform brightness and high-efficiency operation. This invention, issued 16 claims under JPO number 5,448,592, is suitable for systems requiring relatively high LED current that may result in more heat.
