December 14, 2011. O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ: OIIM) was issued 8 claims under United States patent number 8,040,071 for its LED Architecture and methodology.

O2Micro's patented technology provides a very cost effective architecture, with fewer bulky components, making a solution suitable for smaller areas, such as lighting fixtures.
