Patent Granted for O2Micro's DC Power Output Architecture

September 23, 2009. O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ®: OIIM), was issued 17 claims under United States patent number 7,583,067 for its Variable Power Output Regulator; a continuation of the invention issued August 2006 under United States patent number 7,095,217.

This architecture not only significantly increases safe operation, but also, raises the maximum output power. Applications include cellular phones, portable computers, PDAs, and more.
