Key Power Converter Patent Granted to O2Micro

June 11, 2008. O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ®: OIIM; SEHK: 0457), a leading supplier of innovative power management and security components and systems, was issued 14 claims under United States patent number 7,365,995 for its Power Converter design; a continuation of the invention issued April 2006 under patent number 7,023,709.

This patented topology is used in building power supplies for next generation CPUs with requirements for low supply voltage at high currents. Product applications include computer servers, notebook and desktop computers.
