Patent for Battery Charging Methodology Issued to O2Micro

August 23, 2012. O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ Global Select Market: OIIM), a global leader in the design, development and marketing of high-performance integrated circuits and solutions, today announced that it was issued 20 claims under United States patent number 8,222,869 for its Battery Pre-Charging System and Method.

O2Micro's patented system enables high efficiency charging when the battery voltage is lower than normal charging voltage. In addition, the patent eliminates the need for extra components.
