May 22, 2012. O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ: OIIM) was issued 5 claims under United States patent number 8,143,872 for its Power Regulator invention.
O2Micro's patented Power Regulator converts an input voltage to a highly stable output voltage, due to its proprietary architecture that supplies the internal control circuit from the output voltage.
Laszlo Lipcsei, vice president, O2Micro, said "Linear regulators, based on this proprietary architecture, achieve very high rejection of the supply voltage noise, which is especially important in cell phones, laptops, camera recorders, and other mobile battery-operated applications."
