O2Micro's Enhanced Power Switch Device Receives Patent Grant

June 9, 2008. O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ®: OIIM; SEHK: 0457), a leading supplier of innovative power management and security components and systems, was issued 12 claims under United States patent number 7,365,454 for its Power Switch design.

O2Micro's patented Power Switch device is enhanced to provide an integrated single-chip power switching solution for traditional PC Cards as well as USB type cards such as those specified by PC Card 8.0 and available in the ExpressCard™ format. The enhanced power switch is useful in notebook and desktop computers, consumer electronics/set-top-box/TV and handheld devices.
