September 2, 2009. O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ®: OIIM), a leading supplier of innovative power management and security components, was issued 26 claims under United States patent number 7,564,220 for its Power Management Topology.

This invention provides a method and circuit for efficient battery charging in various portable electronic devices. It enables a single power conversion, a much needed feature in the art for power management topologies.
